About this policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Slang Calendar (“we”, “us”, or “the service”) accesses, uses, stores, and protects information when an authorized user connects a Google Account.
Information we access
With your permission, the service accesses:
- Your primary Google Account email address.
- Your Google Calendar list and calendar metadata.
- Calendar events, including titles, dates and times, descriptions, locations, and associated calendar details.
- OAuth access and refresh tokens needed to keep your account connected.
How we use information
We use Google Calendar data only to display your schedules and to perform actions you initiate, such as creating, editing, moving, or deleting events. We also store limited display preferences, such as which calendars are visible and the last calendar selected.
We do not use Google user data for advertising, profiling, credit decisions, or training generalized artificial intelligence or machine-learning models.
Storage and retention
Google Calendar remains the source of truth. We do not keep a separate permanent copy of your event collection. We retain your connected account email, OAuth tokens, and service preferences for as long as your account remains connected or as needed to operate the service.
When you disconnect Google Calendar, stored connection tokens for your Slang Calendar user are deleted. You may also revoke access at any time from your Google Account’s third-party connections settings.
Sharing and disclosure
We do not sell Google user data. We do not share it with advertisers or unrelated third parties. Information may be processed by infrastructure providers solely to operate the service, or disclosed when required by law or necessary to protect the service and its users.
Google API Services
Slang Calendar’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Security
We use access controls, HTTPS, and operational safeguards designed to protect connected account information. No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, but access is limited to the people and systems required to operate Slang Calendar.
Your choices
You can decline Google permissions, disconnect your account inside Slang Calendar, or revoke access through Google at any time. To request access to or deletion of stored account information, contact us using the address below.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy as the service changes. The effective date above will be revised when material changes are made.
